Sra. Bazan

My name is Jamilett Bazán, and I am so excited to begin another wonderful school year with all of you!

I am originally from Trujillo, Peru, and I have been living in the Atlanta area for 22 years. My husband is from Mexico, and we have been together for almost 20 years. Together, we have three wonderful children—a 15-year-old son, a 12-year-old son, and a 7-year-old daughter—who keep our family active and full of joy. We also have a lovable Cane Corso named Ecco, who enjoys running around and playing with us in the backyard.

This is my sixth year at ICSAtlanta and my fifth year teaching 4th Grade Spanish. I earned my bachelor's degree in Spanish from Georgia State University and my Master's degree in Teaching from Georgia College & State University. I am passionate about helping students develop their Spanish language skills while creating a classroom where they feel welcomed, challenged, and excited to learn each day.

When I'm not at school, I love spending time with my family, watching movies, and traveling whenever we have the opportunity to explore new places together.

Fun Fact: I am always on the go! I'm a proud basketball mom, so you'll usually find me driving to practices, games, or tournaments. Life is definitely busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
